What is Hojicha?

A Japanese green tea roasted over charcoal — smooth, toasty, and slightly caramel. Far less bitter or grassy than typical green tea. Naturally low in caffeine.

Steps
  1. Combine all three ingredients.
  2. Blend until fully incorporated.

Hojicha Tea
8.5 LWater
10 ozHojicha tea (by weight)
2 dropsLemongrass essential oil
1.5 ozOrange blossom water
1 ozHoney bitters
1 ozBlack lemon bitters
Steps
  1. Boil the water. Add hojicha tea and steep for exactly 1 min, stirring the entire time.
  2. Let cool completely.
  3. Add lemongrass oil, orange blossom water, honey bitters, and black lemon bitters. Stir to incorporate.
  4. Bottle, label, and date.
Strawberry Guava Cordial
~2 LStrawberry boba syrup
~2 LSimple syrup (equal parts)
11 cansCanned guava nectar (350 ml ea / ~3.85 L)
Steps
  1. Combine strawberry boba syrup and equal parts simple syrup.
  2. Blend with immersion blender until all strawberry chunks are fully shredded. Yields ~4 L strawberry base.
  3. Add guava nectar (equal parts to strawberry base). Blend fully until combined. Yields ~8 L total.
  4. Bottle, label, and date.
